Brain-Tanned Deer Hide Native American Knife Sheath

This exquisite knife sheath is a genuinely useful and collectible item. This sheath is made of genuine brain-tanned deer hide, which is a Native American technique of tanning that makes leather particularly soft and supple. It is also an expensive quality that has a nice smoked smell. The beaded Apache Rope-pattern is on the curved side of the sheath< and the beading features red, white, yellow and black seed beads. The front is adorned with lazy stitch bead work. Tin cones or "tinklers" adorn the the length of the curving side in a 1-1/2" fringe. This sheath is 7-1/2" long from knife tip to rim and will fit a knife blade 6-1/2" to 7-1/2". Any longer and you risk punching through the sheath. The rim is 2-3/4" wide. The belt loop is 2-1/2" long. Hand-sewn and -beaded by a Native American
